We know that presenting at conferences can be expensive. Starting September 1, 2017, students in Population Health will be able to apply for financial support to reimburse a portion of the costs associated with a scientific poster.
➢ The maximum support is $ 40 per poster and per student, available once per year on a ‘’ first come first served basis’’ (maximum of ten students per year). This fund is to cover the cost of printing a poster only. You might be eligible for other funding opportunities – please see: http://phgsa.ca/grants-scholarships.
➢ The student must be the first author on the research poster.
➢ To receive the financial support, students must submit a copy of: (a) the proof of acceptance to the conference; (b) the receipt of the conference paid in full (if applicable); and (c) the receipt from the printer.
➢ By accepting the financial support, the student agrees to have the poster displayed on our website: http://phgsa.ca/. How to apply? Send all documents in PDF to David Buetti (treasurer) within two weeks following the presentation: firstname.lastname@example.org. The money will be sent directly to the student by either Interac e-Transfer or by check.
